The show entitled, The Turtle, is a showcase of the work created under the name Fukijama. This name and the work, inspired the shoes that were created for the hit HBO show Entourage. While originally the work was simply vector illustrations, the artist has removed it from that "design world" and truly created a unique process. The process begins with the designs being lasered onto wood - during this part, the wood is encouraged to burn and scorch. Immediately following, wet watercolor paper is laid over and pushed into the piece to not only pick up the shape but the residue that was left behind from the lasering process. Effectively, each block can only produce one true print as any additional prints would be sans soot. This exclusive event will showcase the prints as well as the blocks that made them.
