Rich colors mixed with bold lines, these meditative works emerge from the artist's hands compelled by her love for the craft. Having a life long connection with strong spirited and empowered women, Zoe finds herself using infinite varieties of color as well as an awareness of emotional aesthetics to portray a sense of self reflection. "The meditation of drawing allows me a quiet space to commune with and express myself", she expounds.

Having started drawing in conjunction with speaking, Zoe's works start simply with reflection which then leads pen to paper to a mouth to a jaw to a profile to a shoulder to a pair of eyes - eventually arriving at a determination of artistically expressive emotion through line and color. Using pen, paint, cray pas, pastels, and charcoal, these works embody the creative spirit within the artist and hint at the fragility of all human emotion without delving into the realm of pretension.
